Complex, elegant, buttery.
From a cooler, and higher vineyard site, this Chardonnay was aged in larger 500L barrels (puncheons) and was not put through malolactic fermentation - all to let the fruit shine.
It is toasty and buttery - imagine grilled baguette dripping butter alongside brown spices and golden apples with pineapple chunks and a squeeze of lemon. It has great bones; the palate is expressive with pristine fruit, lemonwax, roasted nuts and a creamy texture. Balanced and zesty with a long spiced finish.
